We were happy to test this updated version of the Bousnic Shock Collar on our 12 pound Bichpoo in many different outdoor environments. We had already been using the earlier model, which has the yellow colored remote and a slightly bulkier collar profile, and have been very happy with the many features included therein, such as, a REALLY long battery life, easy charging capability, the collar receiver device vibrates when it gets powered off, the yellow remote has a nice identifiable color and grippy feel, the yellow remote has a convenient wrist strap to which we have added our own neck strap so it could be used hands-free. On the other hand, the newer model has a sleeker profile than the older one for both the receiver and the remote. The newer receiver has two rubber prongs that seem shorter than the older model, however, if your dog has long fur or a thick neck there are extension prongs that supposedly help. Our dog's neck is small so we didn't need to use the extensions. One downside that we encountered, however, is that unbeknownst to us, the prongs got loose over time (we never had this problem with the older model). We didn't realize that the prongs in the newer model easily unscrew themselves with the constant friction against our dog's fine hair, and, unfortunately, one of them fell off and became lost. We will contact the manufacturer to see how we can get a replacement because without both prongs the device is much less effective. The newer light gray hand held remote is shorter and has a nice look to it, however, we really miss the wrist strap for better security and/or to make it into a hands-free option. This is especially helpful when you have to hold your dog's retractable leash in one hand once you want to go off leash with the e-collar on. Also, a minor downside to the gray color of the newer remote it that it is a little harder to identify and locate when placed on a cluttered counter or tossed in a bag/purse. Overall, the sound and vibrate settings work really well on our dog. Typically all we have to do to get her attention and come back to us immediately is to press the top sound button. We rarely have to resort to the vibrate option. We have never used the shock option because the other two sound and vibrate buttons are effective in getting her to stop in her tracks. One reason we think the Bousnic E-collar has worked so well for us is that we started using it soon after we got her when she was a young puppy. Now at 1 year and 4 months, she responds very well simply to voice command. We still use the e-collar on her when she is off leash at the beach, in the woods, or open fields just for safe measure if she were to go behind a tree or romp off in the distance and we want her to come back within view. One never knows if a squirrel or another distraction may suddenly catch her attention and lead her to go a bit astray. The e-collar gives us a lot of peace of mind when she is off leash. We attribute our positive results to early intervention, consistent use of the well designed Bousnic e-collar (we used older the yellow version) and our dog's intelligence. We would highly recommend the e-collar with a few tweaks: advise owners to check and tighten the rubber screw-in contacts of the collar device frequently and improve the design so they don't unscrew so easily, add a strap to the hand remote, perhaps add a flash of color or bright logo somewhere so it's easier to identify, and restore the vibration shut off feature back into the collar receiver device, and perhaps better weatherproofing. The newer collar device is slightly more sleek and maybe a tiny lighter. This matters especially for smaller dogs such as ours. One last comment is about the buttons on the remote. Since we take our dog to the beach a lot, granules of sand tend to attach to the button panel of the remote. I wonder if there is a way to have a more impervious seal between the buttons and housing of the remote so granules cannot get stuck or even water droplets in case it rains or snows? There is a warning that the remote is not waterproof. Maybe at some point the design can be tweaked to be more weatherproof and less vulnerable to sand and dust particles entering into the button crevices. Thanks for this opportunity to test a really good device. I would highly recommend the Bousnic shock collar with the few reservations I have mentioned.I have only had to charge the battery once since I got it last month and there charging cord is dual so the collar and remote can be charged at the same time. I like the option of being able to choose which alert to use. The beep and vibration are great warnings, then you can change the strength of the shock right from the remote. The signal reaches from the upstairs office to the living room on the main floor where the dogs hang out. There is also an option to add a second collar on the same remote, which I am considering for our other dog! Money well spent. This has by far been the best investment I could have made for our fur baby and our family. The vibration mode in itself is a great feature. In just 1 week we have the following outcome: has stopped the jumping 100% . Her recall was about 70/30 and in just one week is about 95/5. Super thrilled with this outcome. We are also teaching our pup yard boundaries and have also used the shock feature for this. We spent a great chunk of time outdoors lease free just enjoying the weather. It's been a full week and have only had to charge for the first initial charge and still on full battery. Easy to use. Easy to charge. Easy to set up. Easy to take on/off.After losing our precious female beagle after the holidays, we brought a new beagle pup into our home in early February! It was such a joyous time in our house after experience the heartbreak of losing our first beagle, however, man did we forget about how stubborn beagles are and how hard they are to train! Our beagle pup spent most of his time either chewing or trying to chew anything that wasn't bolted down to the floor! Within a matter of a few days of having our new little guy, he swallowed a small sock and pretty much took out every stuffed animal our young son have! Needless to say, we had had enough! We weren't a fan of the idea of "shocking" our brand new puppy and with much research we came across the Bousnic Shock Collar and liked the idea of there being three functions (beep, buzz, shock) rather than just beep then immediately shock. We thought we would give it a try and was it the best decision we made for our puppy! It did not take more than a day for our puppy to understand that the beep along with the command of "no" did we mean business. After a few weeks of using solely the beep and the buzz had our puppy stopped trying to chew everything and being destructive. Now, our little guy is almost 9 months (we got him when he was 3 months), and he his doing awesome! We never set up the shock function on the collar, as he never needed it. This product was a life saver and with other's opinions and our own past experience, training a beagle takes a lot of patience and dedication, this product has definately helped with that. Our beagle rarely wears this collar now and listening better than ever. Even if we have to put it on him because he's getting a little rowdy, just having it on helps with control.I also want to mention the battery life on this product! We have literally had to charge this product twice since we purchased it! It's also very durable and doesn't bother our little guy at all. This was a great find!! I highly recommend! Before this Sakari was a mad man he would take off Everytime he had the chance he is a LARGE breed dog so even at 6 months he was enough to knock the wind out of u he knocked my youngest down and hurt her a few times we tried all kinds of training first but nothing works… I have never had to use more then the vibrate once I vibrate it it gets his attention and redirects him it’s amazing I can now walk Sakari without issue my kids and company arnt scared of him jumping in them anymore and everyone is happy!! Money well spent! The battery life is AMAZING I’ve had it a few months and I JUST had to charge it a few days ago the range is fantastic Snd I like that it’s not big or bulky in him it’s not uncomfortable for him all around no complaints…I bought this collar hoping it’ll help my very hyper , non trained dog my ex gave me , and it worked for the first day that I have had it now the collar won’t turn on , keep a charge or work , the beep won’t work vibration nothing , we had some progress with the vibration and she started behaving better but now that it’s not working it’s a mess again!!!!!right off the bat let me say this IT SOMETIMES SHOCKS OUR PUPPY WHEN JUST TURNING ON THE REMOTE, ALSO the bottons can be EASILY pressed resulting in accidental SHOCK of your Dog!!! WTF! Also the shock worked once every 50 times you pressed it!! we have shocked or vibrated our poor dog on accident then on purpose! stay awayRecvd Sept 2/22...collar stopped responding to remote!!! Collar then stopped responding to remote!!! II used the beep mode and my puppy was training to stay home or return home quickly, using the beep. Also stopped unecessary barking within a wk. So it was working very well for training! Then collar stopped responding to remote, and my pup has gone off the wall.....leaving yard constantly to neighbors and off in park!!! Now barking for no reason again. I have no fenced yard and being elderly, cannot chase her to get her back home ! I have tenant who also is not happy with the return to barking, waking him up, irritating him and at times keeping him from falling asleep on time for work!!!Contact info is only by email ... no support phone number anywhere...so now i am back to a totally untrained pup, with no immediate support. Fear she will be lost sometime this wk already, with no beep collar available to trigger her return home, and tenant will not accept uneccessary barking either! Wasted my money and now need to retrain my pup some other way, which will be difficult if at all possible with my limited mobility, not to mention exhausting trying to find her in neighborhood, now thtat she has returned to wandering. I AM FRUSTRATED BEYOND WORDS and sorry i even chose this item for training. Not rich and wasted my money.......just sooooo upset!!!!This is a great product to train your dog. Very simple to use and I like that you can press a button for the beeps, another button for vibrate and the 3rd button for shock. We only had to shock our dog a couple times. She knows when she hears the beep and then the vibration the shock is coming next unless she stops barking. I like the fact that we have complete control. EXCELLENT product.Listed for 5-120 lbs dogs but it's big for 5 lbs. It's like having a brick attached to a human neck ...
